Experienced, Qualified Staff, Committed to Quality & Safety
As a family-run business, our focus is on recruiting friendly, experienced and passionate individuals who provide a welcoming experience for parents and children alike. We therefore look beyond purely qualification status to ensure that those who join our teams are the right fit for not only the nursery, but the room that they will be working in. We realise that this helps to breed a successful and long-standing team that works well together and promotes the values and vision of KZAR Childcare.
As a result, our teams are a combination of ages, qualifications and experiences and roles range from bank staff and lunchtime assistants to qualified teachers.
Childcare is a deeply rewarding career- and each of our team members realise what an honour it is to be bestowed upon them by parents to be able to work together during the early years of a child’s life and provide a strong foundation for future learning.
We have a successful apprenticeship and college placement program which has brought many new practitioners into our settings, as well as a strong focus on continued professional development. Staff members have access to a variety of training and mentoring opportunities and these are encouraged and targeted based on needs and current affairs. Most of our staff hold First Aid certificates, safeguarding training and Food Hygiene certificates as a minimum and they are all police vetted with a valid DBS.
We are highly passionate about internal promotion and progression and it has been a pleasure over the years to see staff members progress into some of our most senior roles- made possible through our close working relationships and ability to highlight and nurture talent and drive. This not only supports professional development, but embeds continuity, which is so vital for staff, parents and the children.
The teams are supported by management who hold Mental Health First Aider training, along with frequently reviewed reward and recognition initiatives covering a wide range of needs and desires for all members of our teams.
We maintain as a minimum the ratio of staff to children that is prescribed in the Early Years Foundation Stage framework.
