About the Role
Are you an established practitioner ready to take that next step towards a leadership role? Do you have a passion for helping children with additional needs and supporting tactical early intervention to provide the best outcomes?
About us:
Forest House Day Nursery is part of a family owned group of day nurseries located in the Hampshire area and is located just opposite the Forest Shopping Centre and Lidl. Our favourite parts of the nursery are our state of the art equipment, large, light and open spaces, our wonderful in-house chef and our large garden filled with natural resources as well as a road cycle track for the children.
Our team:
Our team are more than superheroes- they are the most passionate, kind, proud and success driven team you will ever come across. Some notable achievements over the last year include: being awarded Eco School status with Distinction, being short listed for a Jamie Oliver Good Food Award and winning Bordon in Bloom for the second year in a row!
We see you for you and work hard to support, recognise and praise our hardworking teams during these busy times. We have an excellent track record of internal promotion and progression and previous practitioners now sit in our highest Management positions. We also support number of colleagues as they undertake their Level 5 Senior Practitioner qualification.
Above all- we love what we do, we are proud to be called the ‘Good Time Team’– we work with like minded people and we all strive to make our work environment fun (not just for the children!), happy and full of memories. This includes lots of dress up days, acts of kindness, laughter and delicious goodies from our 5* kitchen and onsite Chef… and as for our Christmas party stories, you’ll have to ask the team!!
The role:
We are currently looking for a Babies Deputy Suite Leader. Alongside this, for the right candidate, we are also recruiting for a nursery SENCO.
You will have a minimum level 3 in a full and relevant Early Years qualification, and a number of years practitioner experience and a desire to step up and take on additional responsibilities to support the Room Leader in the smooth running of our 18 place Baby Suite. You may also have a level 3 SENCO qualification, or proven experience working with SEN children. You will need to be confident in assessing and working with children with emerging additional needs and working with their key person and management to write EHCPs, IEPs and work with inter-agencies to best support the child and their family. If you have this experience, but no qualification, we would be happy to enroll suitable candidates onto a SEN course.
We are happy for candidates to apply for the Deputy role without SENCO.
Our ideal situation would be for the chosen candidate to work 41 hours over 4.5days, however work/life balance is important and so we can be open to discussion on hours to suit both you and the nursery, so long as these match our session times to support the needs of the children.
