About the Role
Forest House Day Nursery is a growing and well established day nursery located in the heart of Bordon. It is the fourth and newest setting from a family owned chain with beautiful nurseries located across Hampshire. We provide flexible childcare solutions for hard working parents and offer high standards of care for up to 110 children daily between the ages of 3 months- 5 years over 51 weeks of the year.

We are a tight knit and fun loving team who are passionate about providing engaging and exciting learning opportunities for our children.
We are currently looking for a passionate and ambitious team player to join our team in Bordon as a Deputy Suite Leader (Babies) and key person (8-6pm/ 4.5 days per week). You must be a minimum of Level 3 qualified in a relevant Early years subject. It is with regret that we do not offer term time only roles.
This is a great position which will require you to:-
- Join our nursery family!- be passionate, friendly and excited about our vision for the business and delivery of childcare.
- Support the current Suite Leader to ensure the smooth running of our Bouncing Baby Suite and ensuring the team maintain and provide a high level of quality and care for up to 18 Babies in our beautiful double room suite and accompanying dedicated sleep room. This includes remaining vigilant with safeguarding and Health and Safety policies and supporting apprentices.
- Run the room in the absence of the Suite Leader (at least half a day a week and during annual leave).
- Manage the daily planning, personal care and effective delivery of exciting and stimulating activities in your specified room.
- Be a friendly and welcoming key person to your key children as well as communicate well with parents and carers to ensure you maintain Forest House’s high standards of parent partnership. This includes maintaining electronic learning journey’s and using our nursery management system.
- Organise and run the many stay and play and nursery events that we run throughout the year, as well as hold parent consultations to support your key child’s important transition to the Toddler Suite.
- Be a positive mentor for any apprentice’s in your room, ensuring that they are guided appropriately and provide support when needed. Support and supervise the team within the room.
- -Have an excellent knowledge of policies, procedures and an understanding of the EYFS.
- -Work closely with the Room Leader and others within the setting as well as management to ensure a consistent approach to the implementation of the EYFS framework across the setting and the seamless transition of children to and from your room.
- Ensure your room is working hard to be ‘Ofsted ready’.
An Level 3 in Childcare is an essential minimal requirement. You must have previous room leading experience or a team leading qualification would be beneficial. First Aid, and Safeguarding are also desirable, but training is provided.
Salary: Competitive and to be discussed at interview. £12.50ph/ + (please note our salaries are under review for April 2025). Dependent on experience and qualifications.
