About the Role
Forest House Day Nursery is a growing and well established day nursery located in the heart of Bordon. We provide flexible childcare solutions for hard working parents and offer high standards of care for up to 110 children daily between the ages of 3 months- 5 years over 51 weeks of the year.

We are currently looking for an enthusiastic and dedicated team player to join our team in Bordon as a Maternity Cover Toddler Suite Leader (8-6pm/ 41 hours p/w). Employment would initially be on a minimum 9 month contract but could extend beyond that dependent on when the current Suite Leader returns. Being a busy team and having multiple settings, we can guarantee a permanent position in another role upon the return of our current Suite Leader.
We anticipate that this role would begin from 1st July 2025- and it would be wonderful for the right candidate to be able to start before this, allowing you time to have a handover period with the current Suite Leader.

This is a great position which will require you to:-
- Join our nursery family!- be passionate, friendly and excited about our vision for the business and delivery of childcare.
- Be responsible for the smooth running of the room and ensuring that you and your team maintain and provide a high level of quality and care for up to 24 children aged 18-24 months in the setting. This includes remaining vigilant with safeguarding and Health and Safety policies.
- Manage the daily planning, nappy changing and effective delivery of exciting and stimulating activities in your specified room.
- Maintain and develop the engaging and enchanting environment that our current Suite Leader has worked hard to create.
- Be a friendly and welcoming key person to your key children as well as communicate well with parents and carers to ensure you maintain Forest House’s high standards of parent partnership. This includes maintaining electronic learning journey’s.
- Be a positive mentor for any apprentice’s in your room, ensuring that they are guided appropriately and provide support when needed. Support and supervise the team within the room.
- Have an excellent knowledge of policies, procedures and an understanding of the EYFS.
- Work closely with other Room Leaders within the setting as well as management to ensure a consistent approach to the implementation of the EYFS framework across the setting.
An Level 3 in Childcare is an essential minimal requirement. You must have previous room leading experience or a team leading qualification would be beneficial. First Aid, and Safeguarding are also desirable, but training is provided.
Salary: Currently £26-£30k. Dependent on experience and qualifications.
