We also have a large car park and a manicured garden space combined with a wonderful Forest Area for the children to explore.

Kind, Loving, Expert Teams

As a family-run business, our focus is on recruiting friendly, experienced and passionate individuals who provide a welcoming experience for parents and children alike. We therefore look beyond purely qualification status to ensure that those who join our teams are the right fit for not only the nursery, but the room that they will be working in. We realise that this helps to breed a successful and long-standing team that works well together and promotes the values and vision of KZAR Childcare.

As a result, our teams are a combination of ages, qualifications and experiences and roles range from bank staff and lunchtime assistants to qualified teachers.

Childcare is a deeply rewarding career- and each of our team members realise what an honour it is to be bestowed upon them by parents to be able to work together during the early years of a child’s life and provide a strong foundation for future learning.

Most of our staff hold First Aid certificates, safeguarding training and Food Hygiene certificates as a minimum and they are all police vetted with a valid DBS.

We are highly passionate about internal promotion and progression and it has been a pleasure over the years to see staff members progress into some of our most senior roles- made possible through our close working relationships and ability to highlight and nurture talent and drive. This not only supports professional development, but embeds continuity, which is so vital for staff, parents and the children.

The teams are supported by management who hold Mental Health First Aider training, along with frequently reviewed reward and recognition initiatives covering a wide range of needs and desires for all members of our teams.

We maintain as a minimum the ratio of staff to children that is prescribed in the Early Years Foundation Stage framework.

Homemade with Love,
Always!

Our Meals

Good food is our second love away from childcare and we recognise the importance of instilling a love of good, healthy food from an early age.

All meals are home-made with the freshest ingredients and will leave parents feeling jealous they aren’t staying for lunch!

We offer breakfast, a morning snack, lunch, afternoon snack and then tea.

Our in-house chef prepares all foods at our sister setting across the road in our 5* Environmental Health rated kitchen; from soups, roast dinners, pastries and vegetarian only days. Some of our classics include Fish Pie, Mackeral Pate, Mediterranean platters, hearty one pot winter warmers and Chinese 5 Spice cake- although the list is endless!

We listen to the views of our mini critics and amend our menu’s accordingly- ensuring that plates and bowls are always empty and that there is plenty available for second servings if they wish!

Drinks are provided throughout the day, with water being available for children at all times.

We like to change our menu between seasons to ensure that the children try as many new foods as possible, expand their taste buds and always get their 5-a-day. We also incorporate International Days which celebrate and showcase the culinary delights from the home countries of our staff and children.

Our in-house chefs are highly trained in Food Hygiene and dealing with allergies and is well equipped to deal with any special dietary requirements.

Our kitchen not only has a 5* Environmental Health food rating, but we have also consistently been awarded an Award of Excellence due to the incredibly high standards of hygiene and care within our kitchen.
